Principal's Welcome

Dear Solana Highlands Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and joyful summer break filled with time together, memorable adventures, and well-deserved rest. Whether you're a returning family or joining us for the first time, we are thrilled to have you as part of our Solana Highlands community.
As we begin this new school year, I’m especially excited about the journey ahead. Our school continues to grow in energy, innovation, and connection—and that’s thanks to our incredible families, dedicated staff, and amazing students. We’re also thrilled to welcome several new staff members to our team this year. Each brings a unique background and passion for learning, and they will no doubt contribute to making this year even more special for our school.
This year, our schoolwide focus will be on Values and Strengths—not only our own as educators, staff, and families, but also those of our students. By nurturing individual strengths and core values, we empower students to grow in confidence, self-awareness, and purpose. Our commitment is to help every child discover what makes them shine—both inside and outside the classroom.
For those of you I haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting, I’d love to share a little about myself. This year marks my 23rd year in education and 13th in educational administration. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching credential from Cal State San Bernardino and later completed my Master of Arts in Education from Azusa Pacific University. My wife is also a passionate educator, and we are proud parents to two high school daughters—one entering her senior year and the other a sophomore. When I’m not at school, I love spending time at the beach, traveling with my family, and cheering on Notre Dame football in the fall.
It is a true honor to serve as your principal. I am so excited to continue leading and learning alongside all of you—our students, families, and community partners—as we create an environment where each child feels seen, supported, and inspired to grow.
Let’s make this a year full of connection, curiosity, and celebration. I can’t wait to see our Dolphins return to campus, and I look forward to welcoming you all back soon with smiles and enthusiasm.
Here’s to a fantastic 2025–2026 school year!
Warm regards,
Mr. Giroux
Principal
